We received great support from a number of organisations
and individuals. Without them, the trip would not have enjoyed so
much sudccess.
Capilano
College and the Media Program helped us initiate this project. During
the pilot project, they provided us with equipment for production and
post-productions. Our faculty member's trip was sponsored by the College.
The Iranian Cultural Heritage Organisation (ICHO)
is in charge of all heritage buildings and sites in Iran. It supplied
us with free accommodation and waived our entrance fees for many sights.
It also provided us with venues for our screening and potential photoexhibitions.
The Documentary and Experimental Film Centre organised a few screenings
of our work.
The Qeshm
Free Area Organisation sponsored an all- expenses-paid trip to the
island of Qeshm in the Persian Gulf. It was fabulous.
The Municipality of Tehran organised a visit to the Milad Tower, which
is still under construction. A great adventure.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting supplied us with Shooting
Permits throughout Iran and helped us with occasional transportation
and accomodation.
There were also individuals like Mr. Jack Nassiri who provided us with
occasional accomodations and hosted us in their homes.
